Tensioning method: when the center distance of the chain drive is adjustable, adjust the center distance to control the degree of tension; when the center distance is not adjustable, you can set a tensioner or remove 1~2 chain links after the chain wears and becomes longer, to restore the original length.The tensioner is generally pressed against the loose edge near the small sprocket.The tensioner can be a sprocket or a toothless roller.The diameter of the tensioner is close to that of the small sprocket.The tensioning wheel has automatic tensioning (using automatic tensioning devices such as springs and hoisting weights) and regular adjustment (using adjustment devices such as screw and eccentric).In addition, it can also be tensioned by pressing plates and pallets.
3. Lubrication of chain drive
The lubrication of chain drives is very important, especially for high-speed, heavy-duty chain drives.Good lubrication softens shocks, reduces wear and extends chain life.Refer to the table for lubrication methods and requirements for roller chains.
